Rachel Ryan

Rachel Ryan now enters her 11th year as an active coach and player. As captain, Ryan graduated from Westfield State University (’07). She led her team to two NCAA appearances and participated in an International Tour hosted in Brazil. She has had numerous opportunities to play under the direction of Karxh Kiraly and with the members of the National Women’s Volleyball Team at the Olympic Training Center. Ryan has coached boys and girls through various camps, clinics and club teams over the years. She most recently directed two summer camps located in Connecticut. Ryan currently is also the assistant coach for Western New England University (2nd season) and in the off-season works for Royal Caribbean International as youth and teen staff coordinator.

Fabiola Aviles

abiola Aviles is returning for her second year as Head Coach at the MBSC Nike Volleyball Camps. Aviles has more than 10 years of experience in the sport of volleyball. After graduating from Baldwin School, she continued to play volleyball at Springfield College in Massachusetts. She has coached numerous volleyball clinics and camps spanning all age levels. In addition to coaching volleyball, Aviles also has experience as a fitness and strength coach for athletes. She is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Martin Parkes

Martin Parkes currently is the head coach for the nationally recognized Saint Leo University men’s tennis program. Parkes, who volunteered with the Lions’ programs for two years as an assistant coach prior to becoming full-time, is not new to the coaching sphere. He brings over 15 years of coaching experience to the program, most recently serving as the Saddlebrook International Tennis Academy Team head coach, where he worked with numerous top world ranking juniors. During his coaching career Parkes acted as personal coach or applied mental skills coach for ATP and WTA players including, Jonathan Marray (2012 Wimbledon Men’s Doubles Champion), Ross Connolly, and Heidi El Tabakh. Parkes made an impact on the court as a player as he competed at Division I Campbell University, before graduating in 2004. He was tabbed the team’s captain and most valuable player en route to a 43-15 record in 2003-04. He also climbed to as high as No.60 in the NCAA doubles rankings during the 2002-03 season. In the late 1990’s, Parkes garnered early career success as a nationally ranked junior then he spent time on the ATP Futures Tour, as well as the British Tour, the German League, and Wimbledon Pre-Qualifying events. In addition, Parkes worked as a freelance performance coach with the Lawn Tennis Association National training center in Yorkshire (2003-06), at the Ilkley Tennis Club, the David Lloyd Leisure Club and the Heaton Tennis Club (1999-2006). He also spent two seasons (1999-2001) as the Leeds University women’s tennis head coach gaining valuable experience to help fellow coach Sarah Summerfield on the women’s side. Parkes carries a bachelors of science in both Psychology and Exercise Science, in addition owns a USTA P-1 coaching qualification and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist CSCS.

Mehdi Belhassan

Mehdi Belhassan is not only director and owner of MB Sports Camps, but personally directs all the Tennis Head Pros as well. Mehdi has played tennis at the highest level, representing his country, Morocco in international events, including African – championships and Davis Cup. He was the top ranked junior in Morocco and Africa. He participated in professional tournament and played NCAA collegiate tennis where he had a close to perfect record. In 2008 Mehdi was inducted into the Franklin Pierce University Athletic Hall of Fame.  Mehdi purchased the Tennis Camp from its previous owners in 1995 and changed the name to MB Sports Camps as he continued adding other sports to the camp.

Kristen Cox

Kristen Cox resides in Tampa, Florida and currently works as a Personal Softball Instructor and Marketing Manager. As a player, she was Catcher/DH at Indiana Institute of Technology. As a coach Cox’s experience includes Volunteer Asst Coach at Eckerd College, Team FLA Asst Coach (Travel Ball), Northeast High School Asst Coach, St Pete High School Asst Coach, Head Coach of Gainesville GOLD Cox (Travel Ball) and Tampa Bay Velocity Asst Coach (Travel Ball). She also served as Director of Softball Operations at The Hitting Academy. Cox has a BA in Administrative Processes and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration.

Amanda Adee

Amanda Adee, originally from her hometown Kinderhook, NY, currently is a collegiate pitcher for Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, NH. On the field Amanda is a pitcher for Franklin Pierce University Softball. In her last season Amanda pitched a total of 105.1 innings and appeared in 20 games. In her 2014 season, she had 48 strikeouts and 5 wins. Amanda’s hard work paid off in 2014, and was named Athlete of the Week on several occasions. In 2013 she was the recipient of the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) Division II College Athlete Award. AdditIonally, she has received the Scholar Athlete Award consecutively from 2012 to present. Along with her coaching at MB Sports Camps at Curry College, MA she also passionately coaches local Tee Ball and participates in community programs through National Honor Society.

Softball

Rachis Maaouni

Rachid Maaouni is a licensed coach with 15 years of coaching experience. From 1986-1990 he played as a semi-pro for FAR of Morocco, a four time African cup winner, and has also played for RCA in Morocco from 1991-1994. He played U.S. indoor soccer for the Arizona Sandsharks from 1996-1998 and also worked in exclusive universities conducting soccer clinics and residential camps. Recently he played and coached for the Sun Coast League in Florida. He coached the U13 and U15 girls and boys with Saint Pete Raiders.

Callahan Porcher

Callie Porcher is Camp Director of the MB/Nike Lacrosse Camp at the University of Central Florida. Callie recently finished her collegiate lacrosse career as a defender with the American International College Yellow Jackets while earning her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology.
Prior to American International College, Callie was a member of the Saint Leo University Lions, serving as a two-way player contributing to her team on both attack and defense. Porcher was a member of Saint Leo’s inaugural 2012 season and played until receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014
A graduate of Oviedo High School and recipient of the Conference Carolinas Team Sportsmanship Award in 2012, Callie has coached at several youth lacrosse camps during her career including the MB/Nike Lacrosse Camp last summer.

Lacrosse Girls (Miami)

Hannah Corkery

Hannah Corkery is not in her fourth season with the Castleton Spartans Women’s Lacrosse Team and her second season as the team’s full-time head coach.
In 2014, served as interim head coach for the women’s lacrosse program and led them to their third consecutive conference championship. The team went 9-7 and a perfect 8-0 against conference competition. Corkery has coached both the NAC Player and Defensive Player of the Year and the team concluded its season with a loss to eventual national runner-up Trinity in the NCAA Tournament. Corkery was also named NAC Coach of the year.
In her two seasons as assistant, the team went 16-0 against conference competition and won back-to-back conference titles on the way to a pair of NCAA Tournament berths. In 2013, Castleton didn’t lose to a NAC opponent by less than nine goals while ranking fifth in the nation in caused turnovers per game (12.6) and 14th nationally in ground balls per game at (27.2). She has had a hand in coaching two NAC Defensive Players of the Year, the 2013 NAC Player of the Year and 2012 NAC Rookie of the Year.

Lacrosse Girls (Orlando & Miami)

Kiley Brown

Kiley Brown enters her second year on the sidelines as the assistant women’s lacrosse coach at Wheelock College in Boston, MA. Brown comes to Wheelock after four years as a defender on the lacrosse team at Bridgewater State University.
During her time as a Bear (2008-2011), Kiley enjoyed four conference championship titles and two trips to the NCAA Div. III Tournament. In 2011, the Bears boasted an impressive 17-2 record, only falling to nationally ranked teams.
During and after her career at Bridgewater State University, Kiley has coached youth lacrosse at several clinics and camps throughout Massachusetts. Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Biomedical Sciences from Bridgewater State in 2011 and will have completed a master’s degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2015. This will be her second year with MB Sports Camps and head the Girls Lacrosse.

Nick Cotter

First year assistant Nick Cotter joined the Saints coaching staff after playing his college lacrosse at Dowling College, a perennial Division II powerhouse on Long Island. As a sophomore, Cotter finished the season Second Team All-Conference and was voted Honorable Mention All-American (29 goals, 4 assists). He helped lead Dowling College to its first National Championship appearance, where they fell to Le Moyne College in a heartbreaker. Cotter followed up with an outstanding junior campaign, garnering Second Team All-Conference and All-American accolades again. He finished his college career as a senior with 35 goals and 5 assists, and he was voted First Team All-American. Cotter was selected to participate in the USILA North-South All Star game, which honors the best Division I, II,and III graduating seniors. Cotter finished his career at Dowling as the all-time goal scorer from the midfield. Cotter graduated from Dowling College with a B.A. in Elementary Education.

Cotter was drafted in second round of the professional National Lacrosse League draft to the Boston Blazers in 2008. He has spent the last three seasons as a major contributor to the Blazers, and he finished the 2011 campaign fifth on the team in scoring (15 goals, 15 assists). The Blazers cease team operations for the 2012 season, and Cotter was picked up by the Philadelphia Wings in the dispersal draft. He looks to lead the Wings, along with fellow Canadians Brodie Merrill and Dan Dawson, to the playoffs in 2012. In October of 2012, Cotter was signed with the NLL Buffalo Bandits.

David Harrison

David Harrison joins MB Sports Camps bringing an upward of 14 years experience and proven track record in operations and sports management.  David is currently the Assistant Coach at Bristol
David Harrision Headshot PersonalCommunity College in addition to being Co-Director of AAU Basketball Boston Bobcats. Previous experience includes assistant coaching at Indiana University Southeast and NCAA D-1 Camp Director at Illinois University, Dayton University and Oklahoma State University. David Harrison played basketball all through college and played over 700 games and achieved two championships in his 13+ professional career that spanned through Europe, United States, Asia, Middle East and South America.

Brianne Murphy

Brianne Murphy played golf professionally for two years but found her passion for teaching, first in Massachusetts and then in Connecticut, New York, Orlando, Chicago, and Tampa, Florida. As an LPGA Teaching Professional, she has worked with Nike Golf Camps, First Tee Program, LPGA Girls Club and was appointed to the National Tournament Committee for the LPGA. Brianne is presently a certified Titleist Performance Institute Fitness Trainer and a Personal Trainer. She is the Director of Instruction and Owner of Murphy’s Golf Academy and the Director of Instruction at Rocky Point Golf Course.

Antonio Banks

Antonio Dontral Banks joins MB Sports Camps this year to head the football program for the 2015 summer camp season. Originally from Ivor, Virginia, Banks played college football at Virginia Tech and was drafted in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Banks played as cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings making 24 appearances and 18 tackles.
As a Viking, he helped his team win their 15th NFC Central Division title which they become only the 3rd team in NFL history to go 15-1 through the regular season. The Vikings also established a new NFL scoring record with 556 points, breaking the old mark of 541 set by the 1983 Washington Redskins. Banks also helped the Vikings overcome every critic’s expectations in 2000 to post an 11- 5 regular-season record, win the franchise’s 15th NFC Central title and make the 23rd playoff appearance in team history.
Coach Banks currently is the Defensive Coordinator at Canada Prep Academy in Canada where he coaches high school football players, teaching them the skills needed to play in the NCAA and at the professional level.
